STATE ARCHIVE records show that SAMUEL BALL was adopted by CLARENCE MCLEOD and BECKY MARSHALL (then Becky McLeod) in 2002. BECKY MARSHALL describes CLARENCE MCLEOD as an oil worker for GULF QUALITY INC in Mobile who later "was living on some oil rig in alabama" before "blew his brains out, last I heard" after the family imploded over SAMUEL BALL's violence toward ANNE MCLEOD.
